Thanks for downloading the doc template. This doc is meant to help the designers to produce what
I hope a good document to go along their new courses. Doc files are in my opinion very important
and an integral part in any good golf course. They provide not only some very useful informations
to the players, but they can also allow the designer to share his thoughts and philosophies on his
design in any way he want, among many other things. I think this doc template covers most keys areas
of what a good document should be and offers good flexibility to adapt to any type of course design.

This document is not the final and only way a course doc should be!! Feel free to make any changes
necessary and add any stuff you want to make it to your own liking. Like I said I think it adapt
itself pretty well to any type of course, and it should provide a good base to work with for designers
who want to include a doc file to their course, but just don't want to forget anything :P

Instructions:

1) open the file doctemplate.rtf in microsoft word or any other compatible program

2) Insert the name of your course at the top of the document (where it says ''insert course
name here'')

3) Fill the document with informations on your course. The text in italic and between these ()
is meant to be replaced (and deleted) with your text and additions. Read carefully what is between ()
as they give useful guidelines about the proper information to put in each section.

4) Modify the document to your liking if you feel the need. You can add or remove sections, switch the section's
order, put some colors, play with the fonts......it's not only on your course that you must be creative!! :P

5) Once the document is complete, save it in the .rtf format but change the file name to accomodate
your course (for example, if your course name is Forest Ridge then save the doc as ForestRidge.rtf)

6) Attach the document to your course using the course manager and you're ready to go!!

Thanks, and have fun! :)
